Before & After Senegal

Since our wedding, our lives have been full of fun. Sometimes a little crazy, but we're enjoying it.

Soon after our wedding, Andrew and I finished all our classes at SU on a Thursday. The following Monday, we left to spend a workweek near Boston (Andrew had training for work), and then a weekend camping and hiking at Acadia National Park in Maine. The following Wednesday, we left for Dakar, Senegal, where we spent two weeks with our mission team. That's what Andrew's been posting.

While I was in Senegal, Kate (my sister) graduated from college and Dan (my brother) moved to Virginia... drastic measures to avoid my company. :oP

Minus a weekend trip with buddies to Michigan for our friends' wedding, we'll be home for most of June. We plan to take a road trip for all of July. We'll start in Pennsylvania visiting family and friends. We'll swing by D.C./Virgina to see some friends, and hopefully Dan. Then we'll head to the Grand Canyon and surrounding parks for our official honeymoon which includes camping/hiking/biking. We'll finish the month in Oregon with family and friends.

At the beginning of August, we'll hop a plane to Pohnpei, Micronesia, where we'll live for the next year. I'll be teaching math for the College of Micronesia, and Andrew may or may not attempt some fishing, surfing, snorkeling, computer programming, farming, entrepreneuring, biking, relaxing. I hope to join in some of those activities as well. We're both really excited about living internationally, especially in such a beautiful place.

I told Dad that I wanted to do something special for our 40th wedding anniversary on January 26, 2008. Maybe we should think about a trip to Micronesia! Hopefully you will have a home there with an extra bedroom.
